Netflix Just Released Its First “Llama Llama” TV Show Trailer

The literary world lost a shining light just over a year ago with the sudden death of Llama Llama author and illustrator Anna Dewdney. Luckily for fans she left not only a legacy behind, but also a treasure trove of Llama Llama material for more books and a new TV series. Netflix has just given us the its peak of the Llama Llama TV show and it does not disappoint.

The first Llama Llama trailer, which features the opening title song for Llama Llama the series, shows everyone’s favorite lovable Little Llama, as well as his friends from the books, Nelly Gnu and Gilroy Goat. Of course it wouldn’t be Llama Llama without his ever-present Mama Llama—and you’ll probably recognize her voice as real-life mom and actress Jennifer Garner. The new show is targeted to preschoolers, though book fans of all ages, including parents, will find it sweet and fun to watch.

The first season of Llama Llama premieres on Netflix Jan. 26 and will feature 15 30-minute episodes. The show’s creative team features directors and producers behind kid show favorites like Doc McStuffinsFrozen, and The Magic School Bus, so Little Llama’s story is most definitely in good hands.
