California-based Genius Brands International has added a trio of licensees for its new preschool property, Rainbow Rangers.

New partners include The Bentex Group (apparel), Jay Franco (bedding, home décor, bath textiles and accessories) and H.E.R. Accessories (accessories). The announcement comes on the heels of Nickelodeon scooping up exclusive broadcast rights to Rainbow Rangers‘ first season for Nick Jr. in the US and the Caribbean Basin.

Earlier this year, Mattel-owned Fisher-Price signed on as worldwide master toy partner for Rainbow Rangers. Fisher-Price will produce a number of products inspired by the girl-skewing superhero series, including dolls/figures, playsets, plush, vehicles, musical toys, role play, technology and interactive toys.

Rainbow Rangers follows seven girls who work to save the environment using their unique personalities and powers. The 52 x 11-minute CGI toon is currently in development with a planned premiere for fall 2018. Genius Brands will continue to actively pursue agreements to develop a global merchandising, licensing and retail program to coincide with the show’s launch.

As Genius Brands revs the Rainbow Rangers IP for launch, the company’s other girl-skewing property, tween brand SpacePOP, has expanded into a number of categories since making its debut on YouTube last year, recently inspiring an exclusive line with Toys “R” Us in the US.
