The firm will develop plush, puppets and more based on characters from the hit children's book series.

Kids Preferred has been appointed as the toy partner for the best-selling children’s book franchise, Llama Llama.

Under the new agreement with Genius Brands International, the firm will develop a new line of plush toys, puppets and jack-in-the-boxes, inspired by the cast of the hit book series.

The new toy line will debut at retail next year.

The announcement follows a recent deal with Penguin Young Readers to develop an animated series based on the books written by Anna Dewdney.

“Given the global popularity of the Llama Llama characters and success of the books, we are looking forward to working with Genius Brands, Anna Dewdney and Penguin to deliver a programme at retail that expands Llama Llama’s engagement with its fans,” said Louis Premselaar, CEO of Kids Preferred.

“Our plush toys, puppets and other Llama Llama branded products will offer young children and their caregivers additional means for interacting with the lovable characters and fully experiencing the world of Llama Llama.”
